Description:

Fore! Nothing says summer like a weekend of softball and golf! The Midwest Sports Fest is the third largest state event, behind Summer Games and Men’s Basketball. This event also enjoys high participation by Unified Partners. Unified golf teams can take advantage of the Unified Sports ® Golf Camp held in June at Gongaware Golf Academy to brush up on their game for the Midwest Sports Fest. To play at Midwest Sports Fest, Unified Golf teams must compete in one of three golf sectionals, held at Lafayette, Kokomo, and Greensburg in July.

Softball is lucky to be once again holding its games at the Midwest Sports Complex on the northwest side of town. This top-notch facility stepped up in 2008 and recruited nearly 100 softball volunteers for the event, in addition to providing beautiful softball diamonds and mouth-watering hot dogs and hamburgers! If it continues to grow at its current rate, softball is considering adding sectionals leading up to the state event.
