Special Olympics Indiana holds three major fundraising events each year: Polar Plunge, Plane Pull, and the John R. Wooden Tradition Golf Tournament & Coaches Dinner. In addition, the organization holds statewide sports competitions throughout the year for nearly 10,000 Special Olympics athletes within the state of Indiana, including Summer Games (2,500 athletes), Fall Classic (1,000 athletes), and Bowling (1,500 athletes). The organization receives no federal- or state-appropriated funds, relying entirely on corporate, civic and individual donations.
