2010 USA Final Leg

The second Special Olympics USA National Games, which will be held July 18-23 in Lincoln, Nebraska, promises to be a spectacular event to shocase the abilities of 3,000 USA Special Olympics athletes!  The 2010 USA FInal Leg promises to be another opportunity to use the Flame of Hope to spread the wonderful message of Special Olympics, to connect with athletes and the further demonstrate the incredible passion and devotion that law enforcement has for Special Olympics!

On July 11, the 2010 USA Final Leg will begin in Ames, Iowa, the site of the inaugural USA National Games in 2006.  After a kick-off celebration and flame lighting in Ames, the Final Leg Team will conduct several runs and ceremonies in Iowa before crossing the river into Omaha, Nebraska on the evening of July 11.  After six days of running and conducting ceremonies throughout the great state of Nebraska, the FInal Leg Team will deliver the Flame of Hope to the Opening Ceremonies in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 18.
